Summer Fun at Soleil

Do you remember how much fun you had as a kid during summer vacation? School was out, and you probably didn’t have a care in the world — except for maybe mowing the lawn. Here at Soleil, you can relive your youth with all the fun things we’ve got lined up this summer. And don’t worry. As a resident here, we’ll even mow the lawn for you so you’ll have time to concentrate on these more enjoyable endeavors.

Date: June 9, 2019
Time: 7-9 PM
Location: Ballroom

This free “Summer Singing Sensations” karaoke event is open to all Soleil residents. Come to the Ballroom to listen to some great singers …or have fun belting out your own favorite tunes. No sign up is required. Don’t forget to BYOB and snacks.

Name That Tune Bingo

Date: June 12, 2019
Time: 6-9 PM
Location: Ballroom

Welcome to bingo 2.0. Instead of boring numbers we play bursts of sing-along-songs from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and today. The numbers on the bingo cards are song names. Listen and identify the songs then mark them off as you would in a typical bingo game. Singing along with the music is encouraged. Bring your dancing shoes because we plan on shaking a leg afterward. Each game lasts about 15 minutes. Prizes will be given to the winners. Cost is $5 per person. Please BYOB. (Note: As of this writing, this event is now sold out.)

Cupcake Day

Date: Jun 14, 2019

Date: June 14, 2019
Time: 7-9 PM

Grab your thinking cap. We’re happy to have Michael from The Trivia Zone back for another great night of entertainment. This event is $3 per person (cash or check accepted.) Please BYOB and snacks.

Grandkids Day

Date: June 19, 2019

This annual Soleil event is so much fun for the kids — both young and young at heart. We’ll have a craft for the children, as well as a balloon artist, tattoos, sno-cones, hotdogs, and more. The pool is open, but there is no lifeguard on duty so please be watchful. Tickets are $5 per family. When you purchase your tickets at the Business Center, please let us know the number of adults and children attending.

Snakes Alive

Date: June 19, 2019
Time: 4 PM
Location: Ballroom

If you saw a snake in your yard, would you know if it was venomous? The Soleil Garden Club invites you to a presentation on Georgia snakes. Dr. Zach Felix, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology at Reinhardt University, will show us how to properly identify our state’s venomous and non-venomous snakes. Note that this presentation takes place after our Grandkids Day event. Dr. Felix will have live, harmless snakes on hand so it is perfect for the grandkids too. Please sign up in the business office.

Native Plants Rock
