Summer is in full swing here at Soleil, which means the Fourth of July is just around the corner. We’ve been soaking up the sun and enjoying ourselves here, but don’t miss out on fun in the town this weekend! If you’re staying in town, there are plenty of activities Canton boasts to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day.
Canton’s Historic Downtown Loop is hosting First Friday on July 1st with live music from the Kid Brothers Band. With great food and even better company, this is something you don’t want to miss. The fun starts at 6 pm so come ready to kick off a great weekend! If you can’t make it this month, First Friday will be back in August. (picture of downtown canton)
Canton Farmer’s Market will be back this Saturday morning, July 2nd. It runs every Saturday morning through September, but if you’re here this weekend, it might be a good weekend to escape the crowds. The farmers market promotes local farmers and local artisans, all produce is Georgia grown, and they have more than food there including cooking demonstrations, kid’s activities and music. Tom Ebersole will be the musical entertainment this week.
Canton will again host its annual 4th of July activities on Monday. Beginning at 6pm with the parade winding through the central business district, the night ends at dusk with fireworks behind the Riverstone Shopping Center.
If you’re planning a staycation at Soleil this weekend, Canton has a fun-packed weekend ready for you. In addition to these activities, be on the lookout for our latest email on easy, patriotic crafts you can enjoy this weekend, too!
